Run today for tomorrow.

Because tomorrow needs you here.

Run Today For Tomorrow, Inc. is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and access to care. Through events, education, and advocacy, we come together to support hope, healing, and a future where no one has to fight alone.

ABOUT US

United in compassion, creating lasting impact

Founded in 2019, Run Today For Tomorrow began as a memorial run honoring Molly Lenora Yacko and has grown into a powerful movement rooted in compassion, awareness, and action. We believe in a Tomorrow where everyone is here to see it โ€” and we work every day to make that belief a reality through community support, education, and access to mental health resources.

TESTIMONIALS

What people say about us

"I've participated in the event for a few years. I love that it all stays local. If I can't be there in person I always do it virtual to show my support. There are so many people with mental health issues including myself that the resources are so important to be available."

Christy Couch (Ottawa, IL)

"Run today for tomorrow 5k is such an awesome event. I love hour our community comes together to help those affected by suicide. I hope this event gets bigger and bigger every year!"

Catina Chalkey (Streator, Il)

"In 2025 I participated in Run Today for Tomorrow for the first time and loved that I could do it virtually to share the importance of mental health. Mental health can have a negative stigma around it and it's important to share awareness to let people know its okay to not be okay and its okay to reach out for help. The more we spread awareness and have resources accessible, the more people can feel safe reaching out for help. I'd love to see more professionals in the mental health field as resources can be scarce. I hope to share to all that you are loved, you are important, and you are never alone."

Julia Williamson (Rochester, MN formally Ottawa, IL) Mayo Clinic Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Social Worker

"These funds connected our family with a counselor who has had a truly life-changing impact on my daughter. After navigating the mental health system and experiencing setback after setback, we struggled to find the right support to help her heal from domestic violence we endured. With the help of this foundation and the Youth Service Bureau, my daughter has made an incredible turnaround. We are forever grateful for the role they played in helping our family heal from something we never believed we would recover from."

Iโ€™ve run โ€œRun Today for Tomorrowโ€ 3 of the past 7 years, and it truly is such an impressive event. The outpouring of support from our community and the hard work that goes into making this race happen is incredible. It has become one of my favorite races each year. This isnโ€™t just a race โ€” itโ€™s a powerful reminder that our community shows up for those who may be feeling hopeless. If you ever feel alone in your journey, please rememberโ€ฆ youโ€™re not. There are people who care. โค๏ธ
